A dream job must be FUN! Just imagine, waking up on a Monday morning exclaiming: "Oh Boy, it's Monday morning and I get to go to work - I'm excited!" Zig Ziglar says that money is not the most important thing, but it's right up there next to oxygen! Making lots of money is important. Also, your work should feed your soul. Why have just a job, when you can be on a mission! Certainly, the ultimate career would enable you to make the world a better place and add value to other people's lives. I believe that the most successful person is the one who has made the greatest difference for the greatest number of people. Knowing that what you do is important to other people, and that you really are making a difference gives you a wonderful spiritual paycheck.

After getting married and starting a family, I still felt uncertain about the direction I wanted to take. I felt like I already had what mattered the most in life; faith in God, a wonderful wife and children. Soon after Valerie and I were married, I joined the Navy. I wanted to be an Electrical Engineer and the Navy would give me the education and experience I would need for that career. But after being in the Navy for a short time and working with electronics, I realized that I didn't like electronics after all.

Some friends invited us to their house and showed us an Amway presentation. We saw the idea of owning our own business and I thought that it would be the perfect business. We worked hard in the business and learned a lot, but we never earned any money.

I still had the dream of owning my own business, though and for the next several years we worked in many networking businesses. We had the dream but we were discouraged because we were not receiving the financial results we were hoping for.

In 1990 I joined Nikken. My introduction to Nikken was an answer to prayer. From the beginning I knew Nikken had a destiny. I thought, "This is worthy of my all. I'm going to run as fast and as hard as I can." I knew this was going to be big and I just wanted to be a part of it. I knew I was onto something huge. Maybe you've had a moment when you just knew something - you felt it in your bones.

I had only been in Nikken about a month and there was a lady that had a meeting and although I couldn't be there, she asked if I would do a conference call with her group while there were in her home. About an hour into the call there was a lot of commotion and everybody lost interest in me. The next day she called me to explain what had happened?She had invited a lady to come to their meeting, named Nina. When Nina was a young girl, about 9 years old she fell off the roof and onto a big pile of bricks. She land on her back and was lucky she lived, but during the Depression her family couldn't afford a doctor and there wasn't a hospital nearby. Almost 60 years later she came to that meeting. They put her on a Kenko Pad in a back room for no more than an hour and when she woke up she went in with tears streaming down her face and said that this was the first time in 60 years she had no discomfort. Wow! Nina asked them who owned the mattress. Alice said it was hers and Nina responded saying, "No, it's not, it's mine. I need it more than you." Alice had orders from the meeting that night and it was over $8,000.00! I was astounded that any product could have such a profound impact on someone so quickly. Imagine building a business empire through transforming people's lives with amazing products! This is an amazing business.

This company has changed my whole life! I have been able to build a successful team of friends who in turn have literally changed the lives of thousands. I earn an income that now exists independent of my own efforts. I enjoy enough money and time freedom to offer my children the advantages and opportunities that any parent wants for their kids. I wake up Monday morning or any other day absolutely enthralled about being able to go to work! I am reassured on a daily basis that I am involved in something important.
