Another Typical Day

Today was another typical day. In the morning as I rolled out of bed, I thought about the poor souls that had gotten up much earlier than me. Most of the people in my town have to drive at least an hour just to get to their work! After my older children left for school, I had a nice breakfast with my wife. Later in the morning I thought about the people who have jobs…but, I was well into my day also. I had made several productive phone calls with my Nikken friends around the country. To balance such “strenuous work”, I gave myself some time off to play blocks with my 2 ? year old son. Soon though, I was back at work. A friend in my personal group took me to lunch with a great prospect! He is nice, ambitious, and hungry. I am sure he is going to join.
I’m EXCITED!!!


By now it was mid-afternoon and just gorgeous outside. I took Valerie for a nice walk along the Columbia River. The autumn sun in the late afternoon had put beautiful shadows on the surrounding hills. The river and the sky gave a rich blue background to the wonderful profusion of trees filled with colored leaves. The only sound we heard was the geese honking and splashing in the water. The river walkway and the parks were silent. My wife and I were the only ones there to enjoy this moment of beauty. Most everyone else in town was still on his or her way home from work. After dinner I practiced the piano, took a few phone calls and played with the kids. Another wonderful and typical day! Having a job would be so inconvenient!

I have been full-time in Nikken for over nine years. I still often contemplate, with gratitude, that I don’t have to go off somewhere to do something that I really don’t want to do, for someone who probably doesn’t really appreciate what I do, or maybe even know that I’m there. I am so thankful that I am a Nikken distributor!!!

When I first saw Nikken, I had a job I hated; I lived in a broken down house with a very worn out car in the driveway, and was broke. I had been praying for a good business opportunity. I knew that Nikken was my answer. I just had a gut feeling that this was going to big. The company made common sense to me. They had done billions of dollars worth of sales in Japan… among millions of customers. Surely they would do the same thing here in an even better market. Nikken had such an incredible past-I knew they would have an incredible future. And I wanted to be a part of it.

It is wonderful to be on fire for something. To be anxiously engaged in a great cause. To be absolutely enthralled with something. I remember being so excited when I would think: “This is my day! Here was my chance to shine-to really do something great!”

Although I still lived in a dumpy house and was still broke. At that moment it didn’t matter. I had been given the map to success and happiness. I was always willing to do the work. Now I had the plan! One of my favorite products that totally change lives is simply HOPE! I love to see the sparkle come into people’s eyes when they are given hope.

Valerie and I were able to attend Nikken's world convention and tour our new World Headquarters. We spent a lot of time together with the corporate and field leaders. Everyone reaffirmed the commitment for us to remain in the forefront of the wellness industry and to be number one in network marketing. We have just made a new alliance with a leader in the development and manufacture of some cutting edge nutrition products. These products will be exclusive to Nikken.

In just a couple of months we will all be entering into a whole new millennium. As a company, we are 25 years old, but we are really brand new. We are just now coming of age. If there is a Nikken brand product in one of eight households in Japan. It is only a matter of time until we have a company product in one out of eight homes in North America! This is not a matter of if. It is only a matter of when!

At the convention we were given the honor of becoming the company’s first Royal Ambassadors. As you might imagine, we are THRILLED!!! …And also humbled. I would like to note that one of the main reasons we are the first Royal Ambassadors is simply because we have been in Nikken longer than just about anyone else. Just give yourself some time. We very well could be slower than you! We simply had a head start! Just imagine that in the next ten years the company will have one hundred Royal Ambassadors! Why not you! NOW IS THE TIME TO RUN!
