The Next Big Thing Is Nikken William James said, "The greatest discovery of my generation is that you can change your circumstances by changing your attitudes of mind." Everyone wants to change his circumstances, but only a few are willing to change themselves. Leonardo da Vinci showed himself a thinker when he said, "Thou, oh God, doth sell us all good things at the price of labor." And Jesus said, "All things are possible to him that believeth." (Mark 9:23)."
Bob Richards has been our President for about a year now. All the indicators are simply marvelous! We have fabulous new products. Sales are up, recruiting is up and also, dear to my heart…checks are up! This is a whole new opportunity.
We are so grateful for the leadership of our corporate team. Have you listened to the New Year's Address featuring Bob Richards and Tom Watanabe? This can be found on www.mynikken.com . Look at the top right hand corner on the web page. As a cofounder of Nikken, Tom goes all the way back to the beginning of Nikken. It is inspiring to hear how he feels and his clear statement of commitment for Nikken becoming the most influential and powerful wellness company in the world.
The key to happiness is people. The essence of our lives is relationships. People are also central to succeeding in Nikken. The greatest joy is giving others joy. Nikken gives us all something wonderful to share.
Learn the Nikken story and how to share it. Tell it well and tell it often! I recently met a guy on the chair lift while skiing. He's in the Army and was visiting his family. He has a degree in the medical field. During our visit he asked what I did and I told him about Nikken being a multi-billion dollar company from Japan that goes all the way back to 1975. We're involved in the research and development of breakthrough health technologies that will revolutionize the way we even think of health and wellness. In business, Nikken is positioned to become the next “ big thing” ! We are already in 38 countries with millions of customers worldwide, but ‘right here' is the greatest market and there is hardly anyone has heard about it. We're involved in a huge growth campaign right now, and our company offers a real career opportunity for the right person who really wants to move up the ranks – we're involved in something that can profoundly make a difference. It's not just a job…it's a mission! My short list of the criteria for a good career is to have fun, make good money, and to make a difference.
By the time we got to the top of the slope he was very interested and I suggested that we ski over to my cabin. I showed him the body energizer, the water and a few other products. In fact I was just on the telephone with him before writing this up and he is interested! He said he would come to our wellness preview this week. – so we'll see how this transpires.
That same day I got a call from Wendy Shelley. She told me about receiving a wrong number telephone call. He was very friendly and she complimented him on his people skills. Wendy went on to tell him that our company happens to be looking for some people. “Perhaps our call is destiny…would you be interested in additional avenues of business?” He said that he is always looking. She asked if I would do a 3-way with him. He is a really nice guy and has been at the top of several different businesses. He shared with us that his wife was involved in a horrific car accident a couple of years ago. She has been in terrible pain. Wendy and her husband have already been over to their house and introduced the Nikken products. It's wonderful to be involved in something where you can help people who are in pain feel better and help them get back their life. This really is a fabulous business.
Valerie has a new friend. Ioana lived in a formerly communist country and she has been here in America for a few years. We invited her and her husband to stay with us at our cabin and go skiing. We had a great visit in the hot tub that night. She talked about her past how she wants to make a difference. People who have not been able to experience freedom seem more appreciative of the opportunities in America .
I told her about Nikken and she got pretty excited and she is coming to our wellness preview this week. I've been in contact with her a couple of times and she has reaffirmed that she plans on being there.
I just signed up a new person! Brian and Cindy Pitcher were over at our home 2 months ago with a church group. She noticed our Aqua Pour and began asking questions. They are very interested in natural health. In talking about what Nikken is and what it does she mentioned that her wrist was hurting. I took off my new sports bracelet and just let her wear it while we were having our meeting. Everyone loves our new sports bracelet! Over these last couple of months she has bought quite a number of bracelets and other Nikken products. Yesterday she called up and said I want to sign up and she is coming to tomorrow's wellness preview. (Someone is bound to come to our wellness preview!)
As leaders we want to lead by example. Example is not the best form of leadership; it's the only form of leadership. The speed of the group truly is the speed of the leader. 2007 is going to be the best year in Nikken. I also want 2007 to be my very best Nikken year.
Anyone who is really successful in Nikken is simply introducing Nikken to a whole lot of people over a short period of time. Everyone has a story about how they were introduced to Nikken. I think of the people who joined us years ago and have since become leaders. How did I meet them? Just like how I met the people in the above examples. A very natural way - you might even think accidentally… and maybe not – maybe it was destiny that we were supposed to meet – marvelous things have happened. In the beginning when you meet someone you just don't know.
I challenge you to look at Nikken for the potential that it really has. Never doubt that you can do amazing things!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Nikken Friends,
I consider my ability to arouse enthusiasm among the men among the greatest asset I possess. - Charles Schwab
Nothing great has ever been accomplished without enthusiasm. Stephen Manes and Paul Andrews observe this about the founders of Microsoft: “They were beginning to realize, with an almost religious fervor, that the personal computer would change the world.” The use of the term “religious fervor” is noteworthy, because such language pops up again and again as observers try to analyze the personalities of highly effective people.
“We find it almost impossible to resist people who raise their energy when we come into the room, who obviously want to connect with us. Passion is at the heart of erotic love and it is also the key to attracting and maintaining friendships.
Tolstoy was right: One can live magnificently in this world if one knows how to work and how to love.
Sam Walton said that “I think I overcame every single one of my personal shortcomings by the sheer passion I brought to my work. I don't know if you're born with that kind of passion, or if you can learn it. But I do know you need it. If you love your work, you'll be out there everyday trying to do it the best you possibly can, and pretty soon everybody around will catch the passion from you – like a fever.”
According to one study of millionaires, an impressive majority eventually became wealthy not because they possessed a primary ambition to get rich, but because they found work about which they could be passionate. Their “luck” arose from their dedication to an area they enjoyed. The universe bends to those who are convinced that they are in the right place doing the right thing, and when average people become zealous about the task before them, they are no longer average.
(The above is from “The Balanced Life” by Alan Loy McGinnis.)
We have some of the very best people that can be found anywhere as our corporate team. I was on a recent Royal Diamond conference call that absolutely overflowed with passion. We heard from Pat Elkins, Bob Richards, Anne Bodak, and Doug Braun. Everyone was on fire and they all wanted to speak.
Of course there really is a lot to be excited about. We have the fantastic new products, recruiting is way up, sales volume is up, and of course checks are up. Nothing succeeds like success!
Also I recently wrote a letter to Mr. Watanabe and would like to share a portion of his response to it:
Thank you for your complimentary sentiment on my speaking at Nikken's North American Convention, in October (2006).
The energy of the event was very contagious and encouraging, and I am eternally grateful to those of you whom have never wavered in support and continue to believe in our vision.
I vow to do my best to take Nikken to the next level of success.
Looking forward, I extend my wishes to you for further personal success, good health and happiness.
Very truly yours,
T. Watanabe
How can you become passionate? Is it possible to motivate someone else? In terms of Nikken, attending a great event might make all the difference.
Please put Saturday, February 17 th on your calendar for the next big Nikken Quarterly Event . It's not too early to start building toward this. Also, we want to end 2006 with a bang!
I believe you can also motivate others simply by being successful yourself. Try to build a fire under people by helping them sponsor someone good. The best reason to sign up in Nikken is because you have someone underneath you who wants to sign up!
A thought from Bob Richards…
Recognize the blessing of Nikken. For when we appreciate…good things come!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
People who do common things uncommonly well can achieve tremendous success. Roger Banister loved to run and he was intrigued by a very basic idea. He felt that if he could run around the track in one minute and then if he could do that for four times, he would be on the verge of breaking the four minute mile. No one had ever achieved this. Almost immediately after Roger Banister accomplished this extraordinary feat, many others started breaking this “barrier”.
This reminds me of another truism: The speed of the group is determined by the speed of the leader . People need an example. They need to be assured that something can be done. Going around the track four times and doing it fast also reminds me of Nikken. If you find four really good people you can go to the top in Nikken. With four good people, you can become absolutely wealthy with Nikken - only four people! What kind of people are they? Mostly, people who want to have fun, to help others…to make a difference in the world and to make more money.
Surely there are people out there who want to have fun, make money and make a difference. This is going to take more than four minutes, four months would be nice. Four years is not an unreasonable period of time. Think like Roger Banister – if you can run with Nikken for a year and find only one good person, perhaps you could run three more years and get four really good people sponsored. Amazing things may happen!
Is it even possible? Reid Nelson found two Nikken Millionaires his first month. Over time four Nikken Millionaire legs have risen from people he found during his first year. Ken Hankins is a Nikken Millionaire who attended my very first Wellness Preview. If you want to win you must enter the race…and don't quit! Everything is possible with time and effort. You need to be consistent and persistent. Roger Banister didn't set a world record the first time he ran. Just like Nikken or anything worthwhile you've got to have desire. A good coach and regular training is essential.
But, is December a good time to begin your Nikken race? Do you know that our Wellness Consultants of the year Steve and Sharon Weinstein joined Nikken in December and went Silver the same month? Dennis & Ruth Williams also joined in December and went Silver their first month. Someone is always going to push the envelope. Reid Nelson went Platinum in his first December with Nikken! Our first December was memorable for us - we went Gold!
You have everything going for you right now. Just do it! I challenge you to be a Roger Banister. Lead the way for your people – let's get running!
Dave
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once, perhaps twice, but no more, in an entire lifetime will a person have an opportunity of life-changing magnitude. When such an opportunity knocks, it's up to you to accept it and make the most of it - or to simply let it pass by. – Churchill
My name is Dave Johnson . I have been in business for myself since 1978. I have worked at lots of things and looked at just about everything. Obviously, business opportunities are NOT created equal! In evaluating a business, I would certainly look at basic things such as timing, marketing, profit potential, etc. I also want my work to be meaningful and not require me to choose between business and my family.
What is the most worthwhile good to be done? What actually would make our lives the most profitable and happy?
My favorite concept for measuring success is that the person who does the most good for the greatest number of people is the most successful. Perhaps a business's capacity to aid ones ability to positively impact the world might be the best measure for choosing the ultimate career.
I have found it! I have discovered that with Nikken, you can have it all. Every day Corporate America becomes less appealing. In the words of futurist Watts Wacker: “Today, it's all but insane to depend on your employer for security. You're either an owner or a temp. You need to continually prove your value if you expect to have your contract renewed. The organization gave up on you (and every other employee) more than a decade ago. It's time you gave up on it."
Health care in America is in a crisis that needs critical changes. Paul Zane Pilzer is a noted economist and has successfully forecasted many economic events. He states that: “the next big thing is a Wellness Revolution…a whole new way and infinite need infusing itself into how we eat, exercise, sleep, work, save, age, and almost every other aspect of our lives!”
Nikken is the perfect business to position you to take advantage of these powerful dynamics and market forces. Nikken is a 31 year old multi-billion, multinational company involved in the research and development of breakthrough health technologies. Many doctors have stated that Nikken is the greatest breakthrough since penicillin! That Nikken technology is not a matter of if, but only when, that this will become the treatment of choice in so many areas. Nikken has had a presence in North America since 1989; however this has been on a very quiet, grassroots level. October 13th thru the 15th will mark the “Official Launch” of Nikken North America. Although Nikken is currently in 38 countries, the main focus will be right here and right now as we bring into the market products that will redefine health and wellness.
This moment redefines being at the right place at the right time. If you have ever wanted to be in the drivers' seat of your life and to be part of something big, I urge you give Nikken a most serious investigation. What are you going to do with the rest of your life?
